Jahangir Cyrus

Dr. Jahangir Cyrus is a Diabetes and Metabolism Endocrinologist with more than 50 years of experience in health care. He practices a person-centered approach, fully aware each member has a different background and lifestyle. Dr. Cyrus views a person’s health as a trophy on a tripod. One leg is medication to use when necessary. The other two legs are lifestyle modification and medical education to help with health conditions. Dr. Cyrus has been part of numerous research projects focused on diabetes treatment and medication and has academic teaching experience at George Washington University School of Medicine, the University of Iowa Hospital School of Medicine, and the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He moved to Central Texas to be closer to family and enjoys staying connected to his three children and five grandchildren across the country. He strives to walk about five miles, three to five times a week, and he stays engaged in the latest endocrinology research and education. In addition to medical literature, he reads books on sociology and sees the highest purpose in life as being a true servant of his community.
