Sandra Villavicencio
Sandra Villavicencio Fernandez, MD, is a Family Medicine specialist who began her practice in 2016. Her clinical interests cover a wide range of acute and chronic medical problems, including hypertension, diabetes mellitus, thyroid disease, COPD/asthma, cardiovascular diseases, musculoskeletal problems, dementia, anxiety/depression, vertigo, and women's health. Dr. Villavicencio studied medicine at the Universidad La Salle, Facultad Mexicana de Medicina in Mexico City and completed her residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, TX. She is certified by the American Board of Family Physicians and is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP). Dr. Villavicencio’s native language is Spanish, which allows her to serve a diverse patient population. Outside of her professional life, Dr. Villavicencio is a dog lover and enjoys volunteering and reading psychology in her free time. She is also a new mother to a baby girl and cherishes every moment with her. Although most of her family and friends are in Mexico, she enjoys meeting new people and building relationships in her community.
