Rene Badillo

Physician assistant Rene Badillo has been practicing since 2023, with a focus on primary care for adults ages 18 and up. His clinical interests include chronic disease management, improving access to care, patient education, and evidence-based approaches to optimizing long-term health outcomes. Rene strives to make every visit positive and productive without taking himself too seriously. He treats each patient as though they were his own family, and his primary goal is that people leave the clinic with fewer questions than they walked in with. Passionate about patient education and lifestyle changes, he welcomes questions like "What are some things I can do outside of medication to help improve my condition and overall health?" Rene earned his undergraduate degree in biomedical sciences from Texas A&M University and completed his physician assistant studies at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC). He was inducted into the Pi Alpha Honor Society at TTUHSC and serves as marketing director of the Central Texas PA Society. Rene works out at his local CrossFit gym, runs, and plays pickleball on weekends. He also enjoys hiking Austin trails, visiting national parks, paddleboarding, live music, reading, building LEGO sets, and spending time with friends and his Great Pyrenees mix, Ellie.
