About
Oluwayemisi Adesida
Dr. Oluwayemisi Adesida fosters a warm, family-oriented environment for her patients and encourages them to take an active role in their own health. She meets individuals where they are, creating a truly non-judgmental space. With experience caring for people of all ages, she has a particular passion for helping individuals navigate major life transitions. Before joining Harbor Health, Dr. Adesida served in the University of Maryland Medical System, where she provided both acute and chronic care in an outpatient setting. She also worked as a physician liaison in a diabetes clinic at LSU Health Shreveport and greatly enjoyed mentoring medical students along the way. Dr. Adesida holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and she deeply believes in service on a global scale. Her volunteer work includes helping build a mobile clinic in Kenya and working with families whose children are living with HIV/AIDS in Uganda. Outside of medicine, Dr. Adesida enjoys traveling and staying connected with family and friends. Wellness is an important part of her life, and her routine often includes rhythm and dance. She previously served as a backup dancer for a popular hip-hop artist concert during college and still makes time for Zumba classes.
