Haydee Birkhimer
Haydee Birkhimer is a compassionate and dedicated family nurse practitioner, acute care nurse practitioner, and proud El Pasoan. She began her nursing career in 2006 as a registered nurse and spent four years working in the Intensive Care Unit, where she developed a strong foundation in critical care, clinical assessment, and patient management. In 2011, she transitioned into her career as a nurse practitioner, driven by her passion for providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. Throughout her career, Haydee has gained extensive experience in both orthopedics and family medicine, with approximately eight years dedicated to each specialty. Her diverse clinical background allows her to care for patients across a wide range of medical needs while emphasizing education, prevention, and individualized treatment plans. Haydee earned her Master of Science degree from The University of Texas at El Paso and completed additional clinical training at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas. She later continued her education at Misericordia University in Pennsylvania, where she earned her post-master's degree. As a bilingual nurse practitioner fluent in both English and Spanish, Haydee is passionate about serving her community and ensuring that her patients feel heard, respected, and understood. She believes in providing the highest quality of care while building meaningful relationships with her patients and their families. Outside of medicine, Haydee's greatest passion is spending quality time with her family. She values the opportunity to make a positive difference in the lives of her patients while also enjoying the people and community that mean the most to her.
