Dr. Jocelyn Sarkaria values spending time with people she cares for, creating the appropriate space needed for them to feel safe and comfortable sharing about health needs and goals. She prioritizes being accessible for people and never wants them to wait a long time for health answers, appointments or advice. Dr. Sarkaria has experience in the health insurance industry, and prior to Harbor Health, she worked at Central Texas Community Health Centers in Austin, Texas, helping people who lacked the insurance or income to access care.

Dr. Sarkaria moved to Austin for her family medicine residency at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School where she was elected by her colleagues as the Chief Resident. She is well-trained in a variety of office procedures such as IUDs, skin biopsies, joint injections and toenail removals and has special interests in primary care, preventative medicine and women’s health. She loves spending time outside in nature, and you can often find her volunteering at a therapeutic horse riding barn or going on multi-day backpacking trips with her husband. At home, she brings a piece of nature indoors by caring for her thirty-two potted plants.
